Program details

The story of Orlando is the story of water. Built around dozens of lakes, the city is renowned for its beautiful shoreline walks. This guided tour of the Downtown will take you to the most emblematic lake of all, Eola, to the scenic suburb of Winter Park and to the shopping district of Park Avenue before capping off the day at the ‘perfect town’ of Celebration.

Lake Eola is a breath of fresh air in the midst of the Downtown skyscrapers and is an area you will want to return again and again during your stay in Orlando. At night, when the city lights flicker on its waters, it is a sight to behold.

From there we will make our way to Winter Park, which is famed for the canals linking the five lakes around which this beautiful suburb is built. You can join a boat cruise to admire the massive homes along these wonderful waterways, which are often flanked by so much vegetation that at times there’s a tunnel effect.

Then there’s free time for a shopping jaunt to the exclusive Park Avenue shopping and dining district. You can opt to add a Gospel Brunch at House of Blues, where you will be entertained by choirs and singers performing a professional gospel music show while you feast on delicacies such as biscuits with country gravy, Creole chicken jambalaya and freshly baked corn muffins.

The final stop is the town of Celebration, which was developed by Disney based on its vision of the ‘perfect community’. The town is the realisation of the American Dream: large four-square houses and turreted commercial buildings built around a scenic lake.
