Get ready for a long and rewarding day as you leave Rome behind as you cross the Italian countryside and take a scenic drive towards the famous archaeological site of Pompeii, where you will enjoy a two-hour tour conducted by our local English-speaking expert guide.
Enjoy a journey back in time as you visit the must-see highlights of this fascinating archaeological site. Learn about life in Ancient Pompeii - the habits, lifestyles, and peculiarities of the Ancient Romans as you tour the ancient market areas, food stalls, typical Roman homes, brothels, and admire the delightful frescoes all preserved by an erupting volcano that still dominates the Pompeii skyline.
After the visit, we will drive to the magnificent Amalfi Coast.
Then enjoy a 3 hours long free time break to explore the picturesque port town of Positano, where you can enjoy lunch and a walk around the ancient fishing port with its white and pastel-coloured houses dotting the hillside. Take time to visit the beautiful beaches, where you can relax or have a swim, browse traditional artisan shops where you can perhaps enjoy a taste of the "Dolce Vita", and most importantly not forgetting to admire the splendid majolica dome of the church of Santa Maria Assunta.
You will leave with memories that will last a lifetime as you discover some of the most enchanting places of our "Bel Paese", Italy.
After a rewarding day in this beautiful part of Italy, we’ll make our way back to Rome arriving at around 6:30/7:00 pm.
