Ask any local about the best way to spend a day in Rome and they are likely to recommend “il dolce far niente” meaning the sweetness of doing nothing. See the magical city of Rome like never before with this night time tour of the Eternal City. Spend a relaxing evening wandering through its picturesque cobbled streets by moonlight, enjoying the hidden gems and lively piazzas in the historical core of the city – you´ll get to see renowned monuments such as: Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, Pantheon and Piazza Navona all in one night! It´s a truly magical experience!
You will also have the chance to enjoy a typical Italian ´Aperitivo´, as the locals do, with a nice glass of wine (or something else, should you choose) and a selection of appetisers in one of Rome’s most charming places.
Our tour starts at the Spanish Steps, one of the most scenic spots in Rome. From there, we make our way down the cobbled streets of the city to the magnificent Trevi Fountain. Listen as your tour guide explains the strange history behind this famous monument, including the reason why there is one spot from which the entire structure is obscured.
As you walk, your tour guide will point out all the most important sites that you miss when on your own. They will tell you stories about the most interesting characters from Rome’s history – from Bernini to Michelangelo, Galileo and Raphael – bringing the Eternal City to life at its most bewitching hour. The streets are much easier to get around on at night when the most popular sites are quieter and when piazzas and restaurants are livelier.
You will take a detailed journey back through the Roman era, showcasing some of the many spectacular things accomplished by the Romans which still stand to this day. This tour is the perfect way to get acquainted with Rome, while seeing the best landmark sites apart from the Vatican and the Colosseum. Perfect for first-time visitors, we give you a little taste of everything so you get the most out of Rome.
