As capital to the USA and heart of the federal Government it is no surprise that millions of visitors come here every year to breath in the grandeur and importance of the city. No trip to Washington DC would be complete without a visit to the impressive White House. Be awed by the headquarters of the world’s most powerful government, home to every President since 1800 and make sure to get a photo of its iconic facade.



Of equal grandeur is the beautiful Library of Congress. Inaugurated in 1800, this astounding library now houses a mind boggling 151,785,778 books, pamphlets, magazines and other printed documents.



As a city of monuments we also visit some of the memorials commemorating the nation’s forefathers. Gaze at the impressive Washington Monument, the worlds tallest all stone obelisk measuring a whopping 555 feet. View the Greek style temple in memorial of Abraham Lincoln and pay a visit to the Vietnam Veterans Memorial. We also take in the Arlington military cemetery where John F. Kennedy is buried and the fascinating Smithsonian’s National Air and Space Museum. As home to a huge array of historic space and aircraft this is a must for aviation fans young and old alike.
