Empire State Building The Empire State Building Observatory is a must on any trip to New York. From the spectacular lobby all the way up to the majestic observatories, this iconic centerpiece of the city’s skyline is a testament to the ingenuity, vision and spirit of New York. For nearly a century, tourists have been flocking to the main observation deck on the 86th floor of this iconic building, looming 400m over 5th Avenue. Pick up point: 8th Ave between 49th and 50th Streets (Downtown Tour), 8th Avenue between 42nd and 43rd Streets (Uptown Tour), City Hall/Brooklyn Bridge – J+R Park Row (Stop 11- Brooklyn Tour), Grant’s Tomb (Stop 32 – Bronx Tour).
Duration: Downtown tour, Uptown Tour, Brooklyn tour, Bronx Tour and Night Tour are approximately 2.5 hours. Hop on hop off ferry ticket - valid for one day. Museum of the City of New York or New York Historical Society will vary per person, average visit time is approximately 2 hours.
Start or opening time: Gray Line CitySightseeing Visitor Center opens at 8am (subject to change). Downtown Tour departs 8am - 6pm, Uptown Tour departs 9am - 5pm, Brooklyn Tour departs 10am - 3pm, Bronx Tour 10am-3pm, Night Tour departs 6:30pm in the Winter and 7pm, 7:30pm and 8pm in all other seasons. CitySightseeing Hop on – Hop off Ferry 10am, 12 noon, 2pm and 4pm daily, Museum of New York or New York Historical Society is open 10am - 5pm Tuesday - Sunday and closed on Mondays.
Empire State Building
Start/opening time: At 8am.
End/closing time: At 2am.
Languages: Multiple languages spoken depending on staffing levels, generally Spanish and Japanese available any time. Audio Guides are available for purchase in French, Italian, German, Portuguese, Korean, Japanese, Mandarin, and Spanish.
Others: Last elevator goes up at 1:15am. Everyone must go through the security check when entering the building. No glass or bottles are permitted to be taken to the Observatory. Only carry-on size and style bags, suitcases, backpacks, duffle bags, luggage, etc., are permitted. There is no coat check, package, baggage check or holding area, so please do not attempt to bring non-carry-on style luggage to the Observatory.
Madame Tussauds General Admission

Daily at 10am.
End/closing time: 8pm Sunday to Thursday and 10pm Friday and Saturday.
