The wonderful climate year-round has created a paradise for the proliferation of Orchids and one of the best places in the world for dolphin and whale watching.

Programa

Day 1:
ITALY / PONTA DELGADA (-/-/D)
Pick-up at Ponta Delgada Airport (PDL) and transfer to the Quinta, a typical lodge with local architecture. Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2:
B/L/D)
Breakfast and a one-hour lesson at the Picadeiro (riding arena) to familiarize with the horses. Lunch and departure for a half-day trek to Lagoa do Fogo (Lagoon of Fire). Dinner and overnight stay at the Quinta.

Day 3:
B/L/D)
A full day of horseback riding dedicated to crossing the island of Sao Miguel. We will start from Livramento and finish at the northern village of Calhetas. Dinner and overnight stay at the Quinta.

Day 4:
B/L/D)
After breakfast, departure for a half-day trek in the Livramento area, climbing to Pico do Fogo, where we will enjoy a fantastic view. After lunch, an excursion by vehicle to the Gorreana tea plantation; the possibility to swim in a natural water pool in Furnas. Dinner and overnight stay at the Quinta.

Day 5:

Early breakfast for another full day of trekking along the southern coast to the village of Varzea. Lunch at a restaurant in the village of Feteiras. Dinner and overnight stay at the Quinta.

Day 6:

Free morning for relaxation or other activities of your choice. After lunch, a half-day trek. Dinner and overnight stay at the Quinta.

Day 7:
B/L/D)
An unforgettable day on horseback. We will reach the crater of the volcano, from which we will have an incredible view of the twin lakes on one side and the ocean on the other. Visit to the picturesque village of Sete Cidades. Dinner and overnight stay at the Quinta.

Breakfast and transfer to the international airport.

ACCOMMODATION: Traditional Portuguese Quinta
EQUIPMENT: ENGLISH SADDLE HORSES: LUSITANO, LUSITANO-ARABIAN, all well-trained. Suitable for both outdoor riding and flatwork in the arena.
PACE: 3 TO 6 H A DAY IN THE SADDLE, approximately. The three gaits are used depending on the riding level of the group.
WHAT TO BRING: Layered riding clothing according to the seasons, waterproof clothing, protective helmet, water bottle, sunscreen, insect repellent.
MINIMUM AGE: 11 years TYPE: Equestrian stay with overnight accommodation in a lodge

ACCOMMODATION: The accommodation is in a lodge, a traditional 17th-century farmhouse locally known as a Quinta. 5 guest rooms furnished and decorated in local style, very cozy with private bathrooms. Homemade traditional cuisine will make your holiday even more unforgettable.
