Programa

Day 1:
England has a deep-rooted and historic equestrian culture—nowhere else in the world is the grass so green! With this trekking adventure, we invite you to explore one of its beautiful National Parks on horseback. Wild moorlands, deep river valleys, ancient stone circles—this is the mystical Dartmoor National Park.
Located in Devon, the landscape is characterized by sparse, marshy vegetation, giving the area its classic moorland appearance. The region is also famous for its rich prehistoric heritage. Mysticism surrounds these lands, with legends of goblin gatherings, a headless horseman, and a giant black, furry creature known as the "Beast of Dartmoor."
In 1901, Arthur Conan Doyle set one of Sherlock Holmes' most chilling and acclaimed adventures here: The Hound of the Baskervilles.
Exploring Dartmoor on horseback allows you to cover great distances while still having time to take in the breathtaking scenery. You can choose an itinerant route or opt for the comfort of staying in one place throughout the week while riding different trails each day.

Please arrange a flight to Exeter Airport (EXT). Upon arrival, meet our local staff and transfer to your hotel, Castle Inn Lydford.
Meet the guides and presentation of the program.
Dinner at your leisure and overnight at the hotel.

Day 2:
LYDFORD (B/L/-)
Breakfast and short transfer to the riding centre. Horse allocation and a relaxing day dedicated to getting acquainted with your horse.
Picnic lunch enjoyed in the English countryside and return in the late afternoon.
Dinner at your leisure and overnight at the hotel.

Day 3:
DARTMOOR NATIONAL PARK (B/L/-)
From the stables, we set off on a full day ride through Dartmoor to the Two Bridges Hotel, located in the heart of Dartmoor National Park.
Dinner at your leisure and overnight at the hotel.

Day 4:
DARTMOOR NATIONAL PARK (B/L/-)
Today's destination is a charming B&B farm near Widecombe. This beautiful moorland farm offers guests a taste of rural life.
Dinner (not included) at a local inn of your choice. Overnight at Drywell Farm.

Day 5:
DARTMOOR NATIONAL PARK (B/L/-)
Another 4 to 5 hours in the saddle exploring the surroundings, potentially riding towards Chagford, weather permitting.
(In September, this day will be out of the saddle, with a visit to local Dartmoor attractions such as the Widecombe Fair.)
Dinner at your leisure and overnight at Drywell Farm.

Day 6:
DARTMOOR NATIONAL PARK (B/L/-)
Another 4 to 5 hours riding toward Chagford.
(In August, this day will be out of the saddle, with a visit to the Chagford Show.)
Dinner at your leisure and overnight at The Three Crowns Inn.

Day 7:
DARTMOOR NATIONAL PARK (B/L/-)
Return ride to the stables with a full day on horseback.
Dinner at your leisure and overnight at Castle Inn Lydford.
