Climb aboard US Coast Guard approved boats piloted by skilled and knowledgeable captains. Prepare for the ride of a life into the Central Florida Everglades. Cruise along the reed-filled rivers. Explore the swamps and marshes. These lush wetlands are bursting with plant and animal life. You might see a bald eagle or even an endangered American crocodile. More than 350 bird species are found in this World Heritage Site, including many wading birds such as herons and storks.



More close encounters await you at Wild Florida’s Wildlife Park. Hold a live alligator, if you dare. Check out the park’s tropical bird aviary offering more hands-on demonstrations. Pay a visit to some of the park’s residents. They are a woolly and wild bunch: zebras, deer, water buffalo, watusi, emu and wild boar. From an elevated, eco-friendly boardwalk, explore a delicate Florida cypress swamp ecosystem.



When you’re famished from your adventures, hit the park’s barbeque restaurant featuring classic, Southern fare, such as pulled pork and smoked ribs. Or take a ride on the wild side with a serving of fried alligator or frog legs. Shop for rare souvenirs at the gift shop. White alligator skulls and preserved gator heads are available for purchase.
