You’ll feel like you’re a million miles away from the beaches, as you head inland and discover the secrets of Almeria. Drive past rolling hills covered with vineyards to Cortijo del Cura and through the Sierra de Gádor to a typical village for a tapa tasting. This is one of excursions, which give you a local flavour of the destination while showcasing its unique, authentic and responsible values.
At Cortijo del Cura – the province’s first organic winery– the owner will proudly tell you about the wines, which are made using completely organic products and processes. Have a wander around the peaceful orchards and take a peek in the museum before tasting some of the wines and other local products.
This scenic tour then continues through the Sierra de Gádor – a stunning backdrop for photos. You’ll also learn all about little Spanish dishes known as tapas and enjoy a taste first-hand when you call in at a local village.
