Why to book this tour:

For true beer and wine lovers we like to offer a taste of Greek brewers and wine makers. We designed this trip having in mind some interesting tales of how

wine and more recently beer, influenced and shaped the scenery and the habits of the people.



1st Part

Athens meets beer : This tour just starts with the famous district of Metz. There was established the first most famous beer shop.



2nd Part

Beer tasting: We ride through picturesque neighbourhoods of old Athens to make 2 stops for Greek beer tasting. From

Thission to Psiri we connect the favourite spots of the popular drink.



3rd Part

Wine tasting: Athens has a long history of thousands years in wine making. We will enjoy white and red wine from Greek varieties as we visit a less known but very interesting court at the premisses of the 1st Royal Residence.



4th Part

Famous barrel wine taverns: At the last part we ride through Plaka, famous for the many taverns serving retsina wine to the Athenians for decades. Politicians, artists, poets, famous foreigners, all enjoyed a glass of white whine with meze in these taverns. Ya mas (cheers).



Highlights

• Discover the graphic area of Metz at the back of Panathenaic Stadium

• Enjoy beer with food tasting at a traditional cafe in Thission.

• Ride in Psirri, a well known district for beer shops.

• Stop at the new pedestrian zone for having a draft of local micro brewery beer

• Visit the First Palace to enjoy greek red and white wine tasting.

• Ride the beautiful streets of Plaka on the way to finish this trip.



Good to know

The tour is meant for adults willing to view the city alternatively. It does not focus on the monuments but to the changes of life style and tradition. Due to consuming alcoholic drinks is appropriate only for adults. The portions are in the care of safety on the bike and we have to offer the proper food matching the drinks.
