Get up close to majestic tigers, playful gibbons, lazy hippos, and other fascinating creatures at the San Antonio Zoo.Home to thousands of exotic animals, the zoo is a guaranteed hit with people of all ages. You have the opportunity to feed a giraffe and watch zookeepers going about their daily tasks.
The zoo also provides an educational experience where you can learn about animal habits and wildlife conservation. Make your own way to the San Antonio Zoo to explore the diverse exhibits that feature animals from around the world.
Wander through several sections of the zoo including Africa Live!, the Savanna, Amphibia, Big Cat Valley, and Flamingo Mingle to see everything from zebra and giraffes to lions and flamingoes.

At the Zootennial Carousel, kids can catch a ride on native Texas animals such as a whooping crane, white-tailed deer, Texas horned lizard, and the jackalope, along with other creatures.
